last fall I got the idea to start collecting silver bars and rounds just in case, she thought it would be a good thing to have around if the world goes south, so far I have filled an ammo box, one more to go

I got lucky, my wife doesn't complain about guns and hobbies and I don't complain about her purchases. She actually enjoys when I go shoot or deer hunt, gives her quiet time at home alone. She doesn't want one but isn't afraid of them either.
