I've learned from my stint at the range that I will be regularly stunned by things stupid people say. It's also eye opening how many ignorant/stupid people have firearms and are sure the know the rules/laws that govern them. Nothing is more frustrating than watching some clueless MAROON give new shooters inaccurate information in the name of "training" .

Sounds like a good reason to ban firearms.

I guess that's what an assault rifle looks like to people who have no real idea how they work or what the parts do.

Plus, the left is supposed to have all the best artsy people. Whoever drew that did a pisspoor job.

No need to ban whatever gun that is, because it would suck.

Yeah, I could get behind a ban on whatever that is... It's just downright fugly! :):

Wow. It’s really sad how Hollywood has been the most gun training that some folks get. “Settle their ass down with rock salt and use the pistol to ‘finish the job’ if needed” sounds like a Hollywood meme. The poor kid needs a dose of reality.

Did you get his INGO handle per chance?

After reading through this thread a second time, and enjoying all the great information identified by INGO members in this thread, it is clear that I made a serious mistake by going to all that schooling and getting licensed and everything.

I just need to find the right informational threads and I can get learned on all teh law stuff that I need to know! :):

People tell you that they KNOW things on TV aren't real.
But then they turn around, and quote things they've seen on TV.

Unfortunately, more people will accept the SciFi concepts explaining pop culture than will learn from a learned, reasonable explanation of what the law and reality say.
Well, there are people who can only understand things by relating them to Harry Potter, so...

Hi-Point is already trying to figure out how to bring that to market.

    I call BS.

The ergonomics of that gun are too good for Hi-point.

Why all the hate for my former client?

Yes, why all the hate? Hi-Point is just capitalizing on a segment of the market, combining (reasonably reliable) function with a fairly consumer-friendly price point. Ergonomics are for those fancy brands, like Colt, S&W, and Canik! :):

    haha

No hate for Hi-point - as noted, they are a viable part of a niche ecosystem within the gun industry environment.

But, like many special-purpose tools (and animals), they are funky. :)
