I guess I should check my BP since I'm supposed to report in next week with my daily numbers. Was it stress or is it out of control...

And he wants me to get a cardiac scan so I already requested an appointment for that and scheduled my bloodwork.

I'm not really surprised. My dad had his first cardiac stents placed in his mid-40's and has had a couple of strokes. The last stroke was 7 years ago and had him in the hospital for two weeks and rehab for another 6 weeks. Hard to believe it as that long ago. I think most of my siblings are on BP meds so I figured it would catch up to me at some point.

sorry to hear about your brother-in-law
It's hard and it sucks that they are 2400 miles away, but we are not making the trip again. Glad we saw him last year when we went to visit due to the youngest brother being critically ill. Hubby just didn't believe he was really that sick so he is having a hard time accepting that the two youngest are gone. This one I understand better...he abused his body for years...drugs, alcohol, smoked heavily till his last breath I'm sure. The younger brother did all he could to stay healthy and he was the first one lost.

I think we need to end this thread on a more positive note...so let's bring in the new one with something more cheerful. And here we go...
