Chilly and breezy out on the deck this morning. Only 47*. Just started raining too.

I turned the furnace back on. House had gotten down to 64, so I wanted to warm it up for DoggyMama when she gets up.

Wow, we got a little over an inch and a half of rain yesterday. I knew we got a bunch, but didn't know it was that much.

Yes. Enough to wash out my newly planted grass seed. I knew I should have put straw over it. (although not sure that would have helped) Lesson learned.

Bummer! I'm glad I got the grass cut yesterday before it cut loose.

This was the third attempt. Had my back yard completely re-graded last summer. The hot conditions pretty much killed the first planting. My lawn care guys re-planted in the fall with a slicer/seeder. Big patches of that failed to germinate. I'm about ready to give up and just let the weeds fill it in.

Tomorrow is looking dry thankfully. At least this latest storm system wasn't violent.

I hate to say it, but I think I'm gonna move back inside the house for today. It's just a little too chilly out here now that the breeze is picking up. Gonna have to wave the white flag.
