We have found some very decent freeze dried soups in our quest to stock the pantry for any foreseeable dilemma. Brand name escapes me right now but CKW has a way with this that is just yummy.

Also, I've never made meatloaf. A coworker was telling me about slow cooker meatloaf.
I need to look that up.

Potato soup is easy.

Fry bacon with onion and garlic
Make a roux
Add milk and cream, and cooked potatoes (canned work fine) season as you like.

CKW makes M-Loaf half ground beef and half pan sausage seasoned to taste. Onions egg crackers and what ever else she applies to this and I really like it.

Add flour to the bacon drippings until absorbed. Cook a few minutes, then add your liquid. Like making gravy
