So not to clog up the Hot Rod thread with activities and whatnot of everyone's daily driver, I figured we'd start this thread.

Milestone, repairs, repair advice and questions, accidents, new cars, new to you cars and anything else that goes along with your daily can be posted here.

07 Ford Focus with 241,500 miles. Regular maintenance/oil changes with replacement of the brakes/tires when needed. New power steering pump at 200k. It is an ugly little beast but it keeps on going.

My 03 Ram with 207k on it developed a heater core leak. Videos on how to change it look pretty rough. Not something I want to tackle. And I'm afraid to even get a quote from a shop.

This truck only needs to last me until next summer. I've had it for over 7 years and it's been great. I can fix just about (and have fixed) everything on it.

I'm not a stop leak kinda guy. I'd much rather fix the problem but I figured I'd see if there was something new since I last looked into the stop leak scene about 20 years ago. After some research, I bought some K-Seal. "Just pour and go". So I poured and went.

    PXL_20211027_001010720.jpg

It worked. I'm amazed. Now to get the air bleed out of the heater core, which is no easy task. After changing the water pump last year, I spent many weeks trying to get the air out. I used the proper radiator funnel gizmo and after multiple hours, it finally worked.

The hoses come out of the heater core and drop about 14" straight down. Fun fun.

I bought an 05 scion xb to keep miles and fuel cost down from me driving my 11 f250. Brakes and oil changes on scion, if anything else goes car goes, since I only paid $500 for it.

    Pretty much Michigan.
Paid $400 for my daily beater a long while ago. Keeps my GMC nice and saves tons of fuel plus the tires and backrack were worth more than $400.

Odo quit at 192k before i bought it. It’s given me some crap as expected but nothin i cant handle and it’s never left me stranded. Had to put a front brake line on it a couple weekends ago and have slowly restored(ish) the interior as Ive found decent parts at junkyard. Its fun to drive being a manual and pretty bulletproof though, 2.3, 5 speed, manual 4x4, manual locking hubs, just manual everything. Wont win any races or beauty contests but i like it for the money. Also it was allegedly in a tough truck contest but if drives fine.

Did this a couple weeks ago with mine. Dock bumpers were to big to fit through the tunnels connecting our 2 buildings and we had to move 4.

B1EB3767-FF19-4226-BB48-835F5C2594E5.jpeg Laid them on the toolbox, ratchet strapped them to the headache rack and drug them through the front yard.

Honestly i haven't like a truck as much as this one in a while and it absolutely unexplainable lol. My GMC has tons of power, heated leather, remote start, rides smooth, etc but for whatever reason i prefer to drive this lol.

04 GMC Sierra. Had the brake lines replaced 2 years ago. All of them. Saw the fuel lines did not look good at that time.
The daughter is driving it right now as the trans in the van has given up and coming home from dropping the terrorists at school she smelled gas and saw the gauge going down.
Its posted up in her driveway nose to the street in anticipation of a roll back ride to the shop on Thursday. Truck has 155K on it so I am opting for a new fuel pump when they have the tank down.

My brother had an '07 Focus. I chucked to my dad about what an ugly car it was...

    ...Now I drive one. :n00b:

Bought mine from the INGO classifieds five years ago. It's been a great car for 40k miles. The "Rally Car" is fun to drive.

Nah it probably wont last lol. The trucks i like are accident magnets for some reason. Ive had a long history of big red GMs dating back to high school and my current GMC kinda counts. Its a red GM leveled with bilstein 5100s, 1.25” RC body lift and 35s.
6A921F5E-96FE-4948-8EF1-78339B03BCA3.jpeg 6A921F5E-96FE-4948-8EF1-78339B03BCA3.jpeg I think ive had 5 big red GMs including this one, 3 of which were wrecked in accidents that were not my fault. This is the first gmc. When i joined the forum i probably had my 05 rcsb that i had alot of work into. 7ish” lift 37” tires, 4.56 gears, truetrac, swapped the 4.8 for a 6.0l and best of all it was a factory 5 speed truck. Got rear ended and it bent the frame pretty good right where my traction bars mounted so i bought it back and parted it out. Made most of my money back but that sucked.

Mine is close to the ultimate useful but boring vehicle. 2017 Ram ProMaster City, with over 188,000 miles. I added some USB power outlets, an inverter for charging my tool batteries, fog lights, tool storage and a hitch. Soon my total fuel costs will exceed the cost of the van. I picked this up new on 12/26/2016.

We were on the road yesterday when I popped in and posted this so I wouldn't lose the thread. This is the one I drive the most bit I switch between three trucks. Here are my other two. The blue 89 is the one we are currently driving on our round trip to Port Angeles, WA. In Montana now on our way home. 1024211033_HDR.jpg 0424210856_HDR.jpg

My 2001 Excursion, just turned 100K miles. I put it away when the snow flys. Has the V10, so I get 12.4 on the hwy and around 8 in town. It now runs me over $100 at every fill up. Lets Go Brandon.
