So is it safe to have monkey sex as long as you wear a mask? Asking for a friend.

CDC raises its alert level and advises travelers to wear masks as it confirms 31 cases of monkeypox in the US

Especially since per the CDC its only airborne via large droplets. "so prolonged close face to face contact is required".

So stand back, and dont touch people. (the other two vectors are touching lesions or clothing contaminated by puss from the lesions. )

Just another ridiculous excuse to mask up and see who will comply like good subjects.

AHAH here we go again, but honestly idk if we going to handle second one. Hope stuff goes only through blood, not respiratory again
Thats the most infuriating thing. They announced that MP can only be transmitted through blood or VERY close contact like Saliva. It only is in large droplets from a sneeze and is not otherwise airborne. Yet they still insisted at first that a mask mandate would likely be necessary to stop it. But unless you QUITE LITERALLY get sneezed on and droplets hit you, you wont catch it.

They just were probing to see if we'd put up with more control, IMHO. Thats the only reason to suggest a mask when a mask clearly isnt necessary.
