It’s bad enough to be in a Pokémon tournament. But being a judge in one? I am not surprised that the judge felt triggered.

The craziest part of that story is that the reason he "laughed" (which was more of a nervous chuckle) was because, at a previous tournament, they announced that player as "they/them"....so they "misgendered" him. Funny how it wasn't a problem then.

I know the name of the church doesn't always mean it's the same as other churches, but Mom and Dad (and me as a kid) were members of a United Church of Christ. It was what I would call a "white bread" church. Meaning bible-based, no extremes like some denominations, organ music and a choir as opposed to a rock band, no cameras and video feeds, etc.. Hope they haven't been infected.
