It is amazing that I have never heard that. I have been venturing out this week and am only seeing a few that are not.

I’ve worn a mask for probably less than two hours total since last year. Worked every day, travel the Midwest on 18 wheels.

An open carried firearm on your hip does seem to encourage appropriate behavior in most people. Being old might help too.

Rural Wisconsin appears to be pretty much over masks. I go to the grocery store, gas station, hardware, all unmasked. About 50/50 I’d say. Nobody has ever told me to wear one. Walmart door counter asked a few months ago if was going to wear one, just said nope and never stopped walking. Now they just say have a good day.
