Well :poop: running into a bit of a problem. I don't think the EGW rail is working out too well for me as the scope sits up too high for me with the medium rings I bought and an old crappy pair of low rings as well... :(
I put a EGW 0 MOA on mine and switched it out for an Area 419 20 MOA that has a recoil lug built in. I doubt a .308 would ever shear the screws but after doing some reading decided to swap it out.

Height wise they are probably not significantly different.

I ended up using Vortex medium height rings to get clearance for the ocular end magnification ring with the scope set where I wanted it. I do have an adjustable cheek rest and keep it raised ~3/8".

Had a few of those. Ultra cool.

thing is if I get one it has to be in a Caliber I already have.
I am not getting into the rat race chasing ammo.
And the calibers you already have are ???

I definitely understand the rat race thing, that's why I got real hesitant about 6.5 CM.

Thats about it. My heavy AR will most likely reach out to what ever we have available. Its been 400 with ease. On box bulk 55 gr stuff. Never had the time to step up to the heavy happy stuff.

Hey WTB, if you haven't already mounted the scope, mount the rifle in the vise so the bore axis is level. It will make using the Wheeler leveling set easier. I've used my set a couple of times now and like it.

I know some of you have ordered from "Ammo Shop Online", but I'm telling you that place is a ****ing rip off on their shipping costs and taxes.

    Example:
    20rd box of 167gr 7.62x51 Geco for $21.97, not a bad price.
    https://ammoshoponline.com/shop/cal...-7-62x51-167-gr-expanding-jhp-by-geco-qty-20/

Say you want 200 rounds of it.

    $219.70 = 200 rounds
    $29.05 = shipping
    $4.99 = handling
    $17.41 = tax (it should be $15.38)
    ---------
    $271.15

They are taxing the ****ing shipping costs!!!!

Okay, think the shipping isn't bad? It really is bad, 200rds of 7.62x51 is not that big or heavy.

    Let's try 500 rounds.

    $549.25 = 500 rounds
    $90.10 = shipping ( :n00b: )
    $4.99 = handling fee
    $44.76 = tax (it should be $38.45)
    ---------
    $689.10

It does not cost anywhere near $90 ****ing dollars to ship 500 rounds of 7.62x51. Then they tack on $4.99 handling and tax the shipping also. They can go pound sand right up where the sun don't shine.

    WITAF !!!!!
