I've already been thinking of consolidating my beginning AR collection. Reducing to ~2 STD-15s or HM defense rifles, at least for the RH 5.56 stuff so I don't have to take Stag Arms gas to the face so much. Standardize on the same ambi safety & trigger. Leave it for the hunting ARs to play with.

Morning all. Finished my :coffee: . Now gotta run to work after a little morning holiday shopping. :spend:

    Have a good day, all
    :faint:

Just realized last night that I still have a STD-15 upper bought under that $200 deal. Then revised this plan to STD-15 uppers and ADM lowers with identical triggers, etc. 2 is 1, right?

    Afternoon everyone.

It isn't just the expansion (size) that matters, penetration (depth) is also important too. :):

Sorry, had to do it. Yes, my brain is that of a 12 year old.

Cliff notes version: Bullet design to bullet design with hollow points - doesn't make much difference.

Buffalo Bore 45 +P if you want penetration. Dang.

Wish he would have put a carhart on the test dummies.

    SGE test?
Cheers for @mcapo buying a dummy!

    .
I've had this revolver for a while, it was somebody's project back in the 30s when it came back from WW1 and went to King's for a full action job and King parts upgrades. The barrel was shortened and the gun converted to 45 Colt from 455 Eley, King hammer and sights combined with 1930s era parts. The pull is Python smooth and it puts 250 grain cast lead right where you want it. While it's basically a cut down, to me it still represents the art of the gunsmith from nearly 100 years ago. I really should find a 45 LC wadcutter mold for it. Pure lead and around 250 grains.;)
