I'm sorry that I've seemingly upset Spicy..... I truly am. But, I'm entitled to my opinion.
Some folks think that Keltec is a crappy manufacturer. The Deacon and I both own one of their PMR-30's .... and we think that they're a hoot ! That doesn't mean that I'd carry it to downtown Indy.

I’ve been to Turkey a few times in my military career and believe me there are much worse places….I have spent time in BFE and had AK’s pointed at me. Working on Strategic Air Lift aircraft I have been to places that I would never want to go back to.

Passing through there, and living there are two different things. I had the bolts on 50 cal. guns at the front gate dropped into battery on me .... just before I was thrown to the ground with AK's stuck in my back.
I'll trade stories with you all day long.

But could your opinion be based upon old data? If you’re talking about how Huglu’s were made in the 70’s then I would totally agree with you. Things definitely change my brother.

I never said I was just passing thru. Spent a few months at a time….

I agree, that things can change. As I mentioned earlier, Istanbul is more like a European city, than typical Turkey.
My gut feeling is that the vast majority of the population will always be unhinged, because of their religion.(at least the Turks interpretation of Muslim beliefs)
.... and I was in the capital city (Ankara) most every weekend
