I managed to sneak down to HHRP this afternoon for just a bit. I was there about a half hour, which was all the time I needed to run a bit of ammo through a P226 SAO Legion, a P938 and a P07 with a .22lr kit. The P07 rimfire kit has been giving me some grief and I was hoping that polishing the chamber might help it feed better. The chamber is tight and after about 5 rounds, every round is a FTF. You can push the round home to chamber it, but you can feel how tight the chamber is.

I need to find a way to open the chamber up a bit, but just a thousandth or two. I could just send it back to CZ to see if they’d do it.

Evening fellas. Been absent for a bit. Life’s been busy. Hope you are all well. Myself and mine are doing absolutely wonderful. Had a little visit yesterday from my brother T for my oldest’s birthday party.

@churchmouse Tim, I just wanted to share a couple pics with you. You’ve been a huge inspiration in my life. I always enjoyed our conversations, your stories. I enjoyed watching your eyes light up and your smile as I was sharing my experiences and stories with you. I will forever cherish our time together in your shop as you helped me build that cheap piece of Chinese rail road 1911 into a respectable shooter full of leftover parts.

Your friendship has meant a lot to me over the damn near 10 years we’ve been communicating on this site, from guns to cars and everything in between.

Your memory and legacy will live on in my life and my girls. I still shoot and teach others how to properly shoot a handgun based on the hold you showed me all those years ago.

I turn the big 30 later this month… sheesh. Hard to believe I was just over 20 when I met up with y’all.

    Love ya, ;)old man.

Oh and I can’t forget Lily… She’s 52 this year. 9 years with me in October. Over 50,000 miles behind the wheel of this beast all over this beautiful country of ours. She doesn’t get driven much anymore, but her day will come again.

I’m even making plans and doing research for my next car project idea. A 1920’s period correct speedster/Indy car look a like.

I could not agree more. Great pics, RH. Teachable youngsters are the parts of an old man's legacy that tend to be most important to us and hopefully do the most good in the long run.

Do they recommend any specific ammo with the conversion kit? I don't have experience with CZ 22LR conversion kits, but for example on my Advantage Arms kits for Glocks, they recommend specific ammo with specific bullet profiles. Other ammo brands don't run, but generally the recommended brands run well. Probably a different issue than you have, as yours sounds more related to overall chamber tolerance, but figured I'd ask.

I have both enjoyed and grown from knowing you my friend.
My son has that Chinese anvil and loves it deeply.
I would not change a thing.
Continue on your path as it is solid.
Much respect and love for you and your family.

I'll check on that. It might be the issue with this

3:48 AM..... Just home from work. Another "stand there and sweat for 25-45 minutes at a time" day. Then get back into the A/C of the truck and freeze.

    Fun fun.

I would love about 3 inches of snow about now.
One of those "jump out the truck, bathe in humidity" kinda nights. Step out and the water just jumps on you like a duck on a June bug.

Really REALLY nice here in Skinned Knee.

Like nice like only 78 today.

Lots to do today - I'm driving to see an old classmate of mine who isn't making it to the 50th reunion in 5 weeks.

    He lives in northern CO.

    This'll be good.

Hope everyone is feeling finer than frog hair.
