Got up this AM with fever and some congestion, been about the same all day. We'll see how I am tomorrow. The gardener put a stop to the Colt accuracy test.

It's scary. For over 2 weeks it felt like my brain didn't work. Now, I feel very slow and have to really stop and try to think things through. It's better now, but still much harder than it should be.

When I was in DSM in early January, I was like on day 11. I was walking thru a very large furniture business and I thought I was walking straight - but I was leaning left and trying to get to the escalators going up and almost missed my entrance.

Not a horrible deal if you're looking for a P-01, though it looks like this member's first deal here.

Same for me. Great guns, but I like my CZ 75 Compact better. Softer shooter and a better overall feel to me. Loved my P-01, but my niece loved it more and I had to share...

I had one P-01, loved the look and feel of it, but for some reason it just didn't do it for me. Perhaps sometime in the future I'll try it again. Whenever someone posts a pic of one I think "oooooh!"

Got the latest Colt working this evening, and a magazine arrived for it today. This is the lowest Commercial model serial number I have and it will need some finish work. I'm going to set up a fire blue crucible to do the small parts and get it some better grips. I'll shoot it tomorrow to check accuracy, but usually these guns do pretty well for their old iron sights. Finally I'll need a period holster, maybe a good Brauer Bros. as TR liked these guns, although his is the file side military version. View attachment 178219 View attachment 178220
