Sounds like they want to make sure where they get you to who can handle it, so that's good.Sheesh .... I just found out that I've already been upgraded to a different referral.
Now they're saying that I have to go to the I.U. Opthamology Dept..
It's not much fun sitting in a darkened room, waiting for an appointment.
I see Maturi and Saxe at Midwest for my Brvo in my right eye. Both seem to be very good at what they do.I think that the eye doc is sending me to the same specialist group as WS. Midwest ? (@WebSnyper )
Evidently I have a detached retina and a vein occlusion in my left eye. The doc said that she hadn't seen that in 23 years .... which didn't give me a warm-fuzzy.
It's right at the center ..... where the occular nerve connects.
When I asked her if she thought it was 'fixable', she said "maybe". Again, no warm-fuzzy for me !
Ah well, it's the perils of older age, I suppose.
Your brain does an amazing job of mapping your vision around problems. When I close my left eye, I see the big blob of nothing. When the eye is open, I feel like I have normal visionIf I have to wear an eye patch, I'm going to learn to talk like a pirate !
It was a shock. I just thought that I needed a new glasses prescription.
I didn't realize that my left eye is just gone .... when they covered my right eye, I couldn't even read the largest single letter she held-up. It was just a mushy grey blob.

Thank you, sir !Hate to hear that, MM. I will pray for your eye.
Well hopefully they have a fix for it.I think that the eye doc is sending me to the same specialist group as WS. Midwest ? (@WebSnyper )

Good late morning CZ fans.
Looking for suggestions. I'm working on an 18" 223 AR build as you may remember. I'm leaning strongly towards a Viper PST II 1-6x24 LPVO. AA optics has a refurb as of now. I like all the specs of it, but I've read some folks having issues with reliability/durability. I don't have a budget for a Nighforce or Trijicon offering. Any advice is welcome.
To me, you never left, amigo.Best of luck MM, we are all praying for you , even if we aren’t here regularly.
Hey, just catching up in here.I think that the eye doc is sending me to the same specialist group as WS. Midwest ? (@WebSnyper )

Hey, just catching up in here.
My mom had a detached retina a few years ago, maybe 5? It recently detached again and the dr put it all back together with a good prognosis going forward. Well my mom being who she is at 83 and very hunched over, with orders to not lift anything, bend over, look down, or touch her eye, goes out the next morning to weed the garden. I also have from a reliable source she was constantly scratching her eye over the next few weeks.
She must be where I get my lack of ability to follow orders.
Little brother takes her back in tomorrow for some fresh glue and a retina reattachment. And hopefully a lecture.
All this to say, keep the hope (but listen to the pros).
Seems reasonable.Tonight, I'm melancholy. Yeah, that's a good word for me .... melancholy.
