I ran across this on YouTube being bored today.

Does any other company make a revolver like this with 3 caliber option like this one? Or is this a Taurus only option?

Not downing Taurus I have a Model 44 that's been reliable and accurate for around 28 years. Just wondering if any other company had something similar.

Ruger's Blackhawk Convertible is the only other one that comes to mind in .357/.38/9mm. The Smith .460 will do .460XVR/.454 Casull/.45 Colt out of the same cylinder.

For what it is worth, my 692 has been great so far. I've got a few hundred rounds through it (mostly 38 special) but I've definitely put some hot 357's through it.

I haven't shot much 9mm through it, mainly because the moon clips are kind of annoying to work with. However, I'm sure someone makes a tool to make loading/unloading easier. However, it is nice to know that it can shoot all 3 calibers.

I'm happy to answer any questions if you have any!

While out of production the Medusa M47 offered 8(?) caliber revolver versatility.

For those with an unlimited budget, there is currently the Janz Multi Caliber Revolver option.

If the dust ever settles and these show up again, I will have a Taurus 692.
    Those are beautiful revolvers.

I ended up spending about an hour reading about the Janz revolvers. I had never heard of them before. Evidently the conversion set with 4 barrels and 4 cylinders is over 30 grand.

I think my very first "Judge" (before it was officially termed Judge) was sold as a 44-410. They were sold for 44, 45, 410 ammo. They quit promoting the 44 with later versions.

My 454 Casual will shoot three ammos if I remember correctly.

Why are DW revolvers less expensive than their 1911's? You would think more time would be spent on a revolver.
Wasn't the CZ produced Dan Wesson 715 listing at around $1500 prior to going out of production last year? Wouldn't that price comparably with the midrange DW 1911 ? That's the extent of my DW pricing knowledge.

May be, up till about the time of CZ's acquisition there wasn't a whole lotta luv outside of select demographics in this world towards the earlier Wesson revolvers. Apparently I bought far more than I should have over the years based on my judgement to sell several off 5 years ago. including a model 12 with external barrel nut, all in the mid $300 price range. Haven't really looked at them since as that would likely defeat the purpose of selling some off earlier.

Were they of good quality back then like they are now?
