Mine shoots better with the 38s but, totally acceptable with 357 loads. Sights are a little crude like most short barrel guns. None of these little guns are match grade, lol.

    I have a brother who had a 2" Model 605...it didn't shoot very accurately past 15-20'...
We both shot my 2.25" SP101 in .357 magnum (shooting 110 and 125 grain in both)
and it shot much more accurately for both of us! Could of just been the gun...

A 2" barreled pistol is not a target gun.

Neither is a 3" revolver...but both my 2.25" and 3" SP101's in .357 magnum outshot the 605 my brother had by a long shot...I'd like to have a 4" SP101 in .357 magnum, but just can't justify the cost when I have a 3" that carries so nicely!

    I'm not arguing.
    I have an SP101 4" .327 fed/mag that is a very sweet shooter.

I would not judge a stubby revolver with only two styles of I guess 110 and 125 grain loads.
158 grain. Loading would have been the first I would fire in a snubie revolver. Why because it was what everybody’s most common load was.

    Yup...but 140, 158, 170, and 180 grain loads in snubbie revolvers...are BRUTAL!!!
In my Scandian J-Framed S&W's, I only shoot 110 grain...lighter recoil but excellent accuracy!

You don’t need to run 158’s to max load. The enjoy a nice moderate to low heavy power burst.
I guess my model 66 is on the heavy side of snubbietown. The brutal does not seem to be there for me until you get to 180’s we used to use for deer. Those were rather brutal. I just think that given the age of the design in the revolver it was made twist rate wise (what little there is for the old standard 158 grain lead bullets driven at moderate speeds.
