    Tactical Pistol Course

    Saturday & Sunday
    September 24 & 25 from 9AM to 5PM
    Cost is $200 per day or $375 for both days

    This 2-day class covers the basic defensive use of the Pistol with a primary focus on raising the accuracy level and tactical handling of the pistol.

    This course reviews the fundamentals and then focuses on refining accuracy and multiple target engagements. Fights are won by solid fundamentals and this course will teach you those fundamentals. Drills will emphasize weak hand, moving, awkward positions, prone firing, dim light techniques, and moving into more advance long-range engagements.

    It begins with the basics, including proper zeroing of your pistol, fundamentals of marksmanship, safety, manipulations, reloads (tactical and speed), and malfunctions. Students will increase their proficiency in close to midrange firing, defensive engagement of targets, ballistics, the use of cover and move into more advanced drills.

    This course is great for anyone who wants to dramatically improve their shooting skill. and will feature:

    • Safety rules and waivers
    • Introduction of the pistol
    • Nomenclature of the pistol
    • Ballistics of the pistol
    • Zeroing of the pistol
    • Immediate action drills (Failure to fire)
    • Shooting positions
    • Multiple targets and zones shooting
    • Awkward shooting positions (KLBs)
    • Cover and concealment drills
    • Movement drills
    • Dim light shooting techniques
    • Assessment drill
    • pistol preparedness drill
    Required Equipment

    • A semi-automatic pistol.
    • 3 magazines
    • double magazine pouch
    • 800 rounds of pistol ammunition
    • a holster with retention ( no trigger finger disengagement like the Serpa holster)
    • Eye and ear protection
    Day 1 will include the Level 1 & Level 2 Pistol training offered by Parabellum Firearms.

    Day 2 will include the Leve 3 & Level 4 Pistol training offered by Parabellum Firearms.

    The Class will begin at 9:00 am sharp and will be fast paced.
    Lunch is NOT included. Please bring your own.
    Do not forget hydration and sunscreen.
    It is highly recommended to bring a chair.
    This is an outdoor range, so the only restrooms are Port-A-Johns.

    *Eric McElhaney will be the instructor for this course. He is the owner of Professional Firearms Training, LLC and hold certifications from the NRA, Rangemaster, and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy as an instructor.
