So I will be traveling to D.C in the spring. From the what I can gather looks like I'm good with my Indiana CCW all the way into Virginia as long as I keep my firearm away from Maryland. Is that correct?

I wouldn't take it into DC, and I would watch Virginia very closely to see if they change their reciprocity now that they have a democratic majority. DC doesn't recognize anybody else's license to carry or permit.

A resource I find very useful is the Android CCW app and it's companion app Posted. You can get CCW at the app store from the following link:

I was reading up on Illinois some the other day in regards to an Indiana CCW. It said that we can conceal the firearm in our personal vehicle while travelling through without having to
secure and separate ammo. But could not leave vehicle with it. Anyone seen this before?

This is true, inside the vehicle concealed carry but if you leave the vehicle you must lock up the firearm. Out of sight and the doors locked will work, no reason to use a car safe. If your vehicle won't lock or if you would just feel safer locking it in the trunk you may walk to the trunk and place the firearm in the trunk. Unloading is optional locking up is mandatory. This also works if on a motorcycle if you have locking bags or in my case a locking case in the saddlebag that is cabled to the frame. Jim.

I didn't see this listed but FYI Ohio has a stipulation that with Indiana (and others that issue to under 21) the license holder has to be at least 21 years of age or they can be charged.

Good point and thank you. They recognize our LTCH, but their laws still apply.

This is better than Washington State— they refuse to recognize the LTCH at all because we allow those under 21 to obtain it.

Again, thank you for pointing out this important point.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Washington does recognize the Utah permit, so there is that option.
