Got a “Thank you” email about a month ago for participating in the past. Surely they are still going to have them. I’m down to one freezer plugged in and it’s starting to look pretty bare!Anybody know what’s going on and why the state park hunts have not been posted yet? Or when they plan to “approve the new regulatory process”?
If I was in your position I start feeding them in some way. They are there or the hunts wouldn't happen IMOWas sure hoping they would leave Versailles alone. Between the non hunting neighbor and myself,we have 90 acres on a dead end road with park bordering three sides. No deer killed off of either property in 20+ years and no sign of blue tongue. 15 acres of soybeans on my place and piles of white oak on both. Walked the perimeter this afternoon-two days after 4+ inches of rain. several squirrels and turkeys, but not even a deer track!
I have food plots. 30 years ago I seen 41 deer at one time in a 5 acre alfalfa field on my property. They aren't there. If I was in your position I start feeding them in some way. They are there or the hunts wouldn't happen IMO
I'm more concerned with what is left. Meanwhile the park has skidloaders with grinders on the front clearing brush...the very reason they say they want the deer killed is because of over browsing.IDNR=Incompetents Doing Nothing Right. Here is the report from last year's hunt, the most killed deer was at Versailles.
