Just sent in a Spyderco Paramilitary 3 (that blue-purple thing) to warranty/repair center in Colorado. Took piece out of blade rescuing an infant (ie cutting through 100 MPH tape).

    Sent out: February 3, 2021.

Thought it would be a good exercise to see how long this takes.

First of all, I hope the baby is ok. Secondly, what blade steel is it? I have a PM2 with S110V steel.(Blurple) I like the blade a lot, but I suspect it's more brittle characteristics could lead to a similar issue as yours. Will be following this with much interest!

First of all, Spyderco warranty service has been fairly quick ~ 2wks from receipt from my experience with them. Next, is it really considered a “rescue” if you originally applied said 100mph tape?;)

    UPDATE:

February 9, 2021 receive e-mail advising that knife arriving back in Lafayette, Ind. on Friday, February 12th. I tracked it, it is in St. Louis today.

A week to fix it excluding shipping. Very impressed.
