Same here, haven't been fishing since I moved from the Keys. Just couldn't understand taking the bait home and cooking it at the end of the day!

I know of this place in S. Carolina that has 5 ponds stocked with Bass, and Bluegill, and red ears. Road trip! 10 hr ride.

Eagle Creek Sailing Club was my club for 8 years or so before I moved to Hamilton Co.
Great people, peaceful lake (10hp limit) and you can sail over to Ricks Cafe for lunch.

Better half and I were on a vacation that involved taking a catamaran out to a snorkling event.

On the way back, I kept singing this song.....until she asked, "Would you stop singing that song?"

So I did.....and went on to "He Went to Paris" as we were skidding the ocean.

I've watched craigslist over the years looking for the right boat. This one just happens to pop up at the right time.

I'm open to name suggestions.

I came up with one the gf wasn't a fan of.
I'm not sure if I can say it here.

Since it's a sail boat I thought
A funny name would be...

"Flow me".

But flow isn't the word I said.

Great find, I sailed Eagle Creek for 25 years but quit due to physical limitations. In a four year time frame we went from a 15ft Rebel to a
25 ft Catalina. Yes sailing is addictive so I suggest you name her

I do have a tendency to jump in with both feet but this isn't really something that can be singlehanded.

Sail boats are a great way to enjoy the water.

I had mistakenly thought poorly of sail boats. I was more in the fishing boat or powerboat with a big V8 I/O that sucked up gas like frat boys with a keg. A friend, who really knew what he was doing, took me sailing. I was amazed at how enjoyable it was. In a good wind, it was exciting. the art of handling the sail is pretty impressive.

I have since been sailing on a catamaran and a couple of dingys. A sail board is pretty cool, but I have not been able to master it.

Dad came over today and we fully rigged up the boat. It was fun and straight forward we discussed sailing and sail handling.

I'm excited to get this thing on the water. Hopefully next weekend will give us some good wind.
