My wife bought me one for Christmas buy I have yet to use it. I don't even remember who it was made by. A family friend used one on a camping trip and liked it.

I use a Goal Zero Nomad 7 panel with a Guide 10 power pack for charging my cell phone in Alaska. On a really sunny day, I can get a full charge in a couple of hours. Small lightweight and very dependable. Also very affordable.

I got a small one for Christmas a couple years ago. It does work, however it takes 4 days in the sun to get a full charge. Just make sure you check the specs of whatever you end up buying.

They done work very well when they are small. This is the one I settled on.

    Amazon product ASIN B01EXWCPLC
You can spread it out for fast charge and use it folded on your backpack to slower charge.
I just got this one as well for a Christmas present. Haven't had a chance to check full charge time, but it works as advertised. I'm going to go with an Anker power bank and charge into that so my phone can be used and the bank can charge while it's just sitting. The Anker power bank gets a lot of love from the backpacking community for it's weight and durability.

I do know that they (and presumably others) make a 2-in-1 unit that does both, but I have no experience with them.

My personal take is that backup power should come from a bank first, then recharged by solar. You don't want to rely on the sun when SHTF in the middle of the night!

You may try 4Patriots. I picked up a solar charger 4 pack for $100
Works as solar and plug in and is about the size of two IPhones stacked on top or one another.
Says it can charge 6 times once it’s fully charged.
    Also has a flashlight/Strobe/SOS function.
It has two USB ports so you can charge two phones/devices at the same time.
