If the government really wanted to make a dent in gun violence in this country, there are ways to to go about it, and it doesn't include gun control.

However, focusing on anything other than the inanimate objects involved would lead to conclusions and actions that are politically unpalatable to any party. We all learn at an early age not to touch a hot stove.

This will be the downfall of the country. Republican's don't believe in small government enough to pass serious reform when they're in power. They'd rather fool us with the illusion that they're working for us.
Democrats don't bother with illusions any more, and they really don't care about rights. They'd rather enforce their own agenda come hell or high water. The elites will all be safe from the machine (at least they think they will).
