    I finally go

I finally got a chance to chrono my recent rounds. Berry's 124gn rn with 7.2ish grains of AA #7 and they chronod out below 1000fps so I'm going to try bumping it up .2 or .3. At least you know you can't get a double charge.
If I get a chance, I'll check my notes. I think I tested Berry's PRN 124gn and AA#7 at around 8.5g. COAL was probably 1.135". No pressure signs, and seemed about average round. This was over a year ago, so I'm not sure on the details. I'll let you know after I check.

Indoor public range, so I can't chrono any of these :(

Thank you. the COAL varies using my press but they all fall between 1.150 and 1.160. The 7.2 to 7.3 I have been shooting feels pretty soft. Probably why I couldn't knock some steel poppers down the other week. Only problem bumping it up is that its going to raise my cost per round :)

Recently brought the 44 Magnum out of hibernation and loaded some 240XTPs with 2400 powder.

Also been loading 45 Auto with 185 Noslers.

And finally out of curiosity tried some 357 Magnum 158 grain loads with 2400 and both standard and magnum primers.

2400 is my favorite 44 mag powder. 21.5 gr behind a 240 cast is very accurate.

    10mm Sig V-Crown 165gn JHP.

Interesting situation though, something I've never experienced. I'm getting bullet setback of 0.025" on chambering. Adjusted and readjusted my factory crimp die, and still having the issue. Ordered a Redding Taper which just arrived, going back at it this afternoon.

Two rounds are my nemesis, 357 Sig and 10mm, but I will conquer them both.

Maybe give an undersized sizing die a try?

Nothing. Can’t find any primers for a reasonable price.
Reasonable is relative to the date. Yes, we are paying nearly 3x what they were 2 years ago...but I do not believe we will see the 2019 prices again for a very long time if ever. And yes, it definitely sucks.

I would be happy just to pay 1.5x the 2019 prices. Maybe 2022 will be better? Probably not.
Now we have everyone freaking out about omicron...let the hoarding begin again.

At this point I would be thrilled to pay the $80/1000 that they go for online if I could find them local and not pay the hazmat.
I wouldn't be "thrilled" but I would painfully pay $80/1000 if I could buy 5K at a time to spread out the hazmat fee. I won't pay that for 1K.

Cabelas had magnum LPP locally here for $80 yesterday. We set up a rotation among friends who go stand in line periodically, just to see what they have, so it isn't as onerous. Yesterday we scored

Just got a few hundred 175gn Sierra HPBT's. Going to try some with Accurate 2495, which is supposedly the same burn as 4895. Really bumming for powder.

I probably should start a new thread but maybe there is enough folks here to provide some input.

I'm down to my last 4lbs of Titegroup and then I have a few lbs of 231/HP38 to use up but I'd like to be on the lookout for more powder.

I have been happy with both powders but am I missing out on the latest trends? I hear a lot about sport pistol and N320.

I run the same load in all my 9's; 125 gr TC Blue Bullets over 3.9 grains of TG with an OAL of 1.150. I haven't run these through a chrono but I'm pretty sure I am in excess of 1100 FPS and over a 130 power factor.

    Any suggestions?

I have a couple lbs of CFE223 that I may list to trade since I'm not in the AR game anymore.

Loading up some 170 gr flat nose in 308. Trying to recreate the 30-30 load I use, but in 308. Trying to safely get lower velocity might prove a challenge on this one. There is load data for this bullet for 307 win, which I am looking at. My goal is 170 gr flat point at 2100ish fps.

Recently loaded up some Barnes Varmint grenade 50 grain .223. Trying 1200R powder. I had bought the powder a while ago when everything was scarce. Didn't realize it was for lighter bullets only. After some research, I decided I would try it in a bolt action. I laddered 8 groups from 1.5 grains below max to max with 2 different OAL (recommended length and length to the lands). Hope to get out soon to test for speed and accuracy.
