I was traveling the country roads this morning between mooresville and Monrovia. Maybe 3”-4” by 10:00 am, left our shop at 7 and never got over 30 I don’t think until after noon and then it was just wet roads. It wasn’t bad, just slow and at times really low visibility.

A snoozer as usual. They need to fire their snow forecast modeling people. I want a job like this. You can be wrong almost every time and keep your job.
Henny Penny “sky is falling” click-bait gets views and ratings. Then they get to do the follow-up reports at the grocery store about shelves of eggs, milk and bread gutted by a French toast prepper frenzy for more clicks and ratings.

I'm guessing we'd have had 5" on the ground if it didn't all melt as it hit. At 7am couldn't see the grass. Probably had 1.5" at that point. At 5pm can see the grass again. Maybe .5" on the ground now. Never seen any accumulation on the streets

For those who have trouble acquiring French toast bread, milk and eggs for impending snowmageddons, there is an alternative that has a long-term shelf life. I'm always prepared with at least one box, usually two.

I can see grass poking through in my yard. Got maybe an inch of slush in my driveway. As far as snowmageddons go...

Left downtown Valpo at 10:30 central and drove to Indy.
Rolled with traffic at 70mph until 25 miles north of Lafayette when the road conditions and visibility got a little sporting. Once through Lafayette, it was back to 70mph the rest of the way.
This was a whole bunch of nothing for the most part.

    I know .......2nd " Blizzard , Storm, Warning " ......... of the season .
In a way , looking forward to them , installed front and rear plows on the tractor , gassed and lubed up .
Being retired .....very disappointed once again . Nothing much to do except keep the fire stoked and check INGO threads every 1/2 hour for new news .
I am starting to think INGO is linked to weather reporting to gain more views ........ :):

Can we start with asking when has a meteorologist been right?
Local weather prognosticator Matt Leach was gushing on the air about how correct his models were because we were "right in the range" of his prediction.

Funny, during the build up it was all uncertain because he didn't know what modeling software to choose from.

Is there a meme where the woman says she is an Instagram model and the guy is flipping a coin in front of a computer claiming he is a meteorologist?

We still have about 5 inches out in the yard. Now they are saying another 2-4 inches of lake effect by tomorrow morning. It is snowing pretty good out there now.

    So far, this is disappointing.
It seems like snow doesn't need to be very heavy to be considered a snowstorm.
