Recently put an Amazon carb on our motor home generator, seems to run a little rich but otherwise OK. Had to have it running for a trip we were taking and needed to run air conditioner. Was going to put on an OEM (ONAN) carb and even called ONAN to make sure I got the right one. The OEM was IIRC $300. and there were none in stock so no real choice. Jim.

As recommended, I soaked the carb in Simple Green for about 48 hours. Put it back on the machine with some new intake gaskets this evening and it started in 4 pulls. It runs pretty good too. Maybe it's good enough. I'll see how it starts in the coming weeks. Any more trouble and it's getting a new carb.

I really appreciate all the pointers and suggestions from everyone here. I learned a lot in the process.
