Smith moving out of Massachusetts to Maryville, Tennessee.

The old "no skilled labor in the South" argument is deader than a Dodo bird. Will the last gun maker in the Northeast please turn off the light.

Well, after a year and a half of absurd gangbuster profits from skyrocketing prices and demand, it's a good time to make the investment. The writing has been on the wall for years, time to close up East Coast gunmaking before the state thugs kick the door and do it for you.

What has Indiana been doing to get in on the flight of gun makers from the NE?
Eric Holcomb. Maybe you've heard of him. There have been occasional sightings of the rare and elusive Governor. No doubt you've see his handywork on some faces if you've ventured outside within the last year. Rumor has it that he and his cloaking device will be heading to the senate. You know, after he puts together a committee to tell him that's what he should do.

I retire at the end of the year and moving to Tennesee for the tax break Indiana refuses to offer retirees.
I may seriously have to consider a new S&W revolver as a retirement gift to myself..................you know, just to support the state and the fine folks at S&W.
The article said revolvers would continue to be made in the NE. What's it called when a rifle barrel is put on a revolver? With or without the brace.

Congratulations to Smith & Wesson for making the move OUT of Massachusetts! Finally, one of the "big guns" manufacturers gets out of the Democrat North East to a Southern 2A friendly state. Remington and Henry should follow suit. This is especially true for Henry currently located in NJ of all the most rabid anti 2A places on earth. C'mon Mr. Imperato, move to Indiana and enjoy a 2A friendly state. Trust me on this.

I like Indiana, but have semi-seriously considered a move to an even free-er state.

    TX, FL etc.

Haven't really thought about TN because the price of RE is so high there, but moving from restrictive governments to less restrictive governments is a real thing.
I lived several years in TX and FL. Indiana had better CCW laws than TX for many years and a lot of liberals are starting to influence the politics in the larger cities, especially Austin. FL has had good firearms laws for a long time. Texas is nearly all privately owned land and sometimes it is hard to find a place to shoot or hunt. You'll pay big bucks to hunt. The big advantages to both states lie not so much in gun laws as the lack of state income taxes, although the combined sales tax in TX is 8.19%. FL is comparable to IN. TN combined sales tax rate is 9.47%! Gov. Holcomb and the first lady are Life NRA Members and helped to get the NRA National Matches moved to Indiana. Mrs. Holcomb is very active in the shooting community. There have been a lot of pro-gun laws passed or restrictive laws eliminated in Indiana in the past several years. Some people aren't even aware of them.
