    Taurus had a 44 special snubbie called the 445 I believe it is. Got one in the safe that was bought 25 or so years ago and I think they did a re-issue ten years ago. The only Taurus I own. Seems well made.

    The .44 SPL is a greatly under appreciated caliber these days. I have a rare S&W 396 Mountain Lite in .44 SPL. One of my all time favorite guns. I am glad to see I am not alone in my high opinion of the ol' .44.
