I really want to get a Smith and Wesson .44 Magnum someday. What would be a good price for one of these if I could find one?

I bought the last 696 the distributor had in stock several years ago after they were discontinued. It's my favorite woods loafing gun. I shoot mild 210 gr. cast reloads at around 750-800fps. I'll never get rid of it!

Taurus had a 44 special snubbie called the 445 I believe it is. Got one in the safe that was bought 25 or so years ago and I think they did a re-issue ten years ago. The only Taurus I own. Seems well made.

The .44 SPL is a greatly under appreciated caliber these days. I have a rare S&W 396 Mountain Lite in .44 SPL. One of my all time favorite guns. I am glad to see I am not alone in my high opinion of the ol' .44.

I shoot 95% Specials out of my 629. It’s a pleasant gun to shoot that way. I have overclocked mag ammo on hand for guests, lol.
