I've got a family member who is wondering about this bullet out of his 300 Blackout.

I have no experience with 300 Blackout reloading or shooting so I can't offer him any advice. So I'll ask if anyone has tried this bullet or Hornady 155gr BTHP Match bullets in your 300 Blackout, and how accurate they were, at 100-300yds.

No experience with these , hopefully someone who's actually used them in 300blk will but may not be many as that's kindly a middle weight for 300 blk
Most want a lighter bullet for supers and much heavier for subs so just from my experience (could be way off here) those mid weight bullets are typically used as plinking rounds so folks will usually opt for bulk 147-150 grn since they are much cheaper

That's what I'd think also, but he seems to think he can shoot those moa beyond 300yds I'm now finding out he's thinking 500yds now.

His expectations seem unrealistic for the cartridge. Why would he be using 300 blk for 300-500 yd precision shooting? The bullet drop on a 155 gn pill at 500 yds would be outrageous. My Hornady manual shows the average speed for that class of bullet in the 1700-1800 fps range. I can't wait to hear about his results!

He should take a serious look at a reloading manual and drop tables. My Hornady manual says a 150 pill at 1800 fps and 200 yd zero, will drop 69" at 400, and 140" at 500. Bottom line is the bullet at 500y is dropping at the rate of 30 inches in 30 yards, hardly a precision tool. My .02

He should stick with his 6.5 Creedmoor for those ranges. I think it's more of a can i do this challenge.
Personally I think 125gr is about the best for a 300 blackout because it preforms close to the 7.62x39mm.
I'll pass that information along to him.
He'd new to reloading and shooting so it will be a learning curve.
