I sold the first one I had and later thought, of all the firearms I've bought and sold, the KSG is the only one I would buy again, so I did! Some people complain about feed issues but if it's happening to you, you're short shucking it. I've even used Aguila mini shells & slugs with absolutely no problems. POI: Home & Property Defense

I've got this Birmingham Small Arms, Ltd. shotgun & I'm trying to find more information on it. It's a 2½" boxlock 12 bore with 2 triggers. It's bored Skeet & Full. It is an ejector model. There are no markings on it other than the serial number & proof marks other than the ones shown in the photographs. From what I could decipher via the proof marks; I'm guessing it was made sometime during the 1930's. From what I've thus far gathered, there is little to no correlation between B.S.A. shotgun serial numbers & date of manufacture. Finding any definitive information on B.S.A. shotguns online is pretty much like pulling teeth in a hen house. If any of you could point me towards more info than I've shown here; it would be appreciated. Thank you. The old Brit is not for sale at this time.

The ad is from 1921 & the £25 translates into £1,360.23 today or $1,605.25 American. I had a new recoil pad installed & the automatic safety disabled. The safety still works it just doesn't engage automatically anymore.

From a Member here this weekend, nice.
I have a heat shield, trigger pin, and Mossberg original pistol grip and forend, may turn it into a cruiser, but I want to shoot it first, maybe someday a DEER barrel and full stock, because with a Mossberg model 500 you can for now its a "TRUNK GUN". Mossberg 1A.jpg Mossberg 1.jpg

    Model 37 circa 1951.

I don't get it out often, but took it along for a walk in the woods last weekend. It gets out for birds from time to time when playing backup for friends too.

The bluing has worn thin in some areas. The wood has its share of scratches and dings. Still, there's nothing like a good old gun that simply runs well.

A few days ago, I made the mistake of walking into ZX Guns in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I'd been in there a couple weeks ago & this Mossberg 590A1 was on the rack. At the time, I didn't have enough folding money in my pocket to make the purchase. I wasn't going to put it on a card. Well, I had enough folding money to make the purchase this time so it followed me home. It's a 20". I've got a modest supply of 12 pellet 00 buckshot & will test pattern it in a couple of days. 1667659600239.png 1667659539972.png 1667659494357.png

I took the 590A1 out today to see how it patterned with some 12 pellet 00 buckshot & how it grouped my MILI 1 oz. rifled slugs. The shooting session got cut short when a person & dog showed up about ½ mile downrange but I managed to get a group on paper before we had to stop shooting. I am pleased with the group & will make a sight adjustment & fire for effect at the earliest opportunity. 1667868387967.png

I got out again on 10Nov22, a warm, sunny but windy day & the gusts were making me wobble but I managed to make sight adjustments & got the group on the bullseye. I think it likes the MILI 2¾", 1 oz. rifled slugs. Next trip out, I'll see how they group @ 50 yds. Those MILI slugs are wadcutters. 1668173835307.png
