I really think the pony express would have gotten it to me faster on horse back.

This has nothing to do with SCB. It's that darn USPS.

I have a package that hit indy distribution center and has said "In transit arriving late" for 15 days now I'm thinking it's lost.

I got it finally it was over a week IIRC. Cincinnati is just as bad as Indy USPS. You can complain and they try to use Covid-19 to cover their incompetence. I then reply that they were like that before Covid-19. I'm honestly ready for the government to contact mail delivery so there will be some competition and accountability.
