Has anyone ever done this before? I am trying to get my Swann camera system online but can not figure out what settings on the router and what settings on the controller box need to be set to what.

The directions aided me in crashing my home network a couple of times :(

Yeah, I never really wanted mine online as such, but I may want it to be able to email me an image sometime.

You better have one hell of a firewall, maybe I need a tinfoil hat but there is no way I am going to have video of my house out on the internet

Not really, you can use two different routers, one off the main line for the camera system which has the holes to allow access, and one that contains your computers, which is secure.

Yea, you can use more than one router. Do you want to be able to access your system from remote locations or keep it local? The easier way would be to keep it local because of configurations. Not to discourage you from it networked into your system.
