No, it's not illegal. They can only ask you to leave if they suspect you have a firearm. Then you politely remind them of the 2A before they call the law.

That sign is wrong.Tell them that if they are requiring you to be disarmed they are assuming responsibility for your safety they need to have a trained armed guard in the lobby. They also need to provided a secure locker for you to store your firearm. Every one does not have a vehicle to lock their gun in while banking.
