Lovely. Hopefully dip**** appoints someone who could actually have a chance at passing a bar exam but I doubt it. Instead we will watch weeks of confirmation hearings which will clearly demonstrate that whomever is appointed was chosen for their politics along with either their race, gender or nationality rather than their qualifications or abilities.

Outnumbered women are speaking of Biden's campaign promise to nominate a black woman. Speculating about how smart of a tactical move it would be to nominate Kamala Harris. Kill two birds with one stone. Get rid of worthless VP, planting a younger ideolog on SCOTUS.
It would be insane to nominate Harris. I don't even think all the Democrats would go for that.

Not that it really matters anymore.
True. It won't make a difference as far as the makeup for the court goes. Maybe he sees the writing on the wall that the incoming tide will shift to Republicans and by getting out now he will avoid the chance that RBG took by trying to hold on thinking that Hillary would win in 2016.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Let's take a completely incompetent vice president whom we will be rid of in three years and give her a permanent position with SCOTUS so we can put up with her ridiculous incompetence for decades. Sounds exactly like something the left would want.

If the dems did something like that it would make an obvious total mockery of the court. As if it already isn't a joke. This would just put it over the top. Might as well just disband it then.

Their argument was just that. Move the silly witch out of the lineup for president or any other political position. She'd be a :poop: slinger on SCOTUS, right in line with Kagen and Sotomayer. Perfect position for a do nothing but run your mouth wench, just like her.

To get consent from the Senate would Guatemala Kamala get to cast the tiebreaking vote for herself, or would she need to recuse herself.?

Breyer seems to know that the Dems are going to get shellacked in the mid-terms and needs to step down now so that confirmation hearings can happen before the Senate changes control.

I wonder what sort of delay tactics old Mitch is going to deploy to try to slow the process?

That is my question as well. And/or, would he have the actual balls to try it again.

Doocy just "hypothetically" asked Psaki if Harris might be a SCOTUS nominee consideration. She didn't address the question. It's out there now though...
