SB43 will be heard tomorrow morning at 9:00am in 156-B at the Statehouse. One of the things it does is to allow legislators and staff to carry in the Statehouse, but not anyone else. If you can, try to show up to voice your displeasure at not being able to exercise your rights in "The People's House".

Was anyone there? What happened? The IGA website shows nothing at this writing.

ETA: Watched the video. SB 43 was planned at the outset to be held over for a vote next week. Good testimony on the bill, and predictable opposition from Rep. C. Brown, which, also predictably, was based in :runaway: sky-is-falling-type hysterical nonsense.
Rep. GiaQuinta asked Rep. Lucas "why not" all citizens, and Rep. Lucas responded that he would welcome that amendment, but had promised Sen. Tomes, who was present as well, that he would try to pass a clean bill through committee. Rep. GiaQuinta had no intention of offering an amendment of that nature, he said.

There was no public testimony in opposition to SB 43, and it and SB 191 will both be voted next week.

    Blessings,
    Bill
