Oh so now we're gonna make up for our screwup getting people killed by going nuts grabbing guns from EVERYONE.

Mears needs to GO. RESIGN. NOW.
Yep, gotta make up for a mistake by going overboard the other way.
I sincerely hope the people of Marion county replace this clown, but I won't hold my breath.

I'm hoping the good citizens realize that he deserves significant blame for the out-of-control homicide rate.
I have had to correct people on another forum I frequent when they mention the Fed-Ex shooting. They say the police confiscated a gun, then did nothing. I make sure they know clearly that it was Mears who dropped the ball. I'm sure they got their misinformation from mainstream media sources. I don't live in Marion County, but it sure does **** me off.

It is something that they must teach at IPAC seminars: when we prosecutors screw up, it is the fault of the police.

She is the communists (AKA Democrats) worst nightmare.

Smart, articulate, an immigrant's child, and for law and order.

I'll bet the smear campaign is already being formulated.

If this law cannot do what it's supposed to do, and has the ability to take rights from innocent people it should be done away with imo.
Actually, regardless of whether it can do what it`s supposed to do, it needs to be abolished. So called, "red-flag" laws are unconstitutional. Due process happens before property is taken or rights rescinded. Not after.

And the solution is simple. Don’t take property that can be stuck in a property room and eventually “accidentally “ destroyed… take the “dangerous” person and hold him/her for evaluation. There is a limit of how long you can hold a person, unlike property, and you can’t just destroy people either, unless their last name is Epstein.

We had this discussion before and I was told that the guns are taken *and also* the person…. I didn’t say and, though. I said instead of.

Sadly, this would advance liberty and also make sense and thus will never happen

    Blessings,
    Bill
