I mean, you can do anything with anything if you want it bad enough. But I don't know if I could sit down with a piece of paper and draw a worse weapon for this kind of fight than an XM5. A Soviet era subgun wouldn't be out of place, except for the need to defeat kevlar helmets and cut through gear piled up on chest rigs and carriers.
