Was thinking about getting one but after seeing so many problems with them going to start looking into other companies, can you give any update after you put some rounds thought it.

Dont care what the manual says.
Chamber iron and quit dry firing it.
    Should be good to go.
I always recommend seeing where the pin actually strikes, if the pin is tapered, and if the pin is made out of something harder than the surface it is hitting.

I have dry fired my 10/22 thousands of times....no issue. However, I would never dry fire older semi auto 22 handguns, nor some of the older Colt and Ruger revolvers.

Side note....don't fan the hammer. I've seen more issues with that recently. I don't know if cowboy westerns have been hot on on the Flix of Net or what, but Jeebus!

Ive run old Colts, High Standard, Rugers, Brownings and other.
Even if the manual says dry fire OK, I just avoid it on rimfires.

Have seen many cylinders w hits between chambers from fanning LOL
Usually on cheap German SA stuff.

I never got into playing cowboy.

The old HS are NOTORIOUS for the chamber firing pin mark. I cannot tell you how many I've had to iron or rechamber.

    DO NOT FILE THE CHAMBER!!
Use a chamber iron or contact Ruger.
I was at the range 2 yrs ago and having trouble with my SW 41 .22LR semi-automatic pistol ejecting spent rounds b/c they were getting hung up.
I was disheartened that my most expensive gun that I'd replaced all worn internals was not purring like a sewing machine.

An INGO member happened to be there & I knew he was an expert with that gun, having shot it competitively in his younger days when he had eyes (91 yrs old now).
I brought it to his attention.
He reached into his gun bag, pulled out this chamber tool & swaged the chamber.
In 10 seconds he had it smooth & round again!
I ordered one when I got home.
Never had to use it yet on any gun, but nice knowing I am equipped.

    Directions:
Designed to swage burrs in 22 rimfire chambers caused by dry firing.
