I found one at a lgs for ~$500. Put it on lawaya because it looked awesome. Does anyone have any experience with this gun/round

I had a single stack tactical model a few years back. Loved it. Lots of fun to shoot, I don’t remember why I got rid of it... Miss it. Big fireball, no recoil.

Yep. The double stack is what I've got on layaway. Has it been reliable for him?

Sorry, I lied, he has a single stack. different friend got the double stack. Far as I know it's been great to him but he hasn't run any endurance tests or 1000 round classes I know of.

I would estimate half the felt recoil of a 9mm.. Lots of fun and Muzzle energy very close to a 45 ACP
out of a rifle-length barrel, maybe. out of a 5" pistol barrel ME is 9mm-ish. severely bottlenecked rounds always benefit from longer barrels more than straight wall cases.

I was just reading wikipedia, not doing math.
    9: low 300s to low 400s ftlb
    45: mid 300s to high 500s ftlb
    22tcm: 381 from a 5" barrel 696 from a 22"
    5" barrel, 1900-2000 fps, 2500 out of a 22" rifle barrel.
    Rem 230 Gr 835 FPS 356# ME 40 Gr. TCM 1950 FPS 340# Me

I think we both agree it'd be a lot less fun on the wrong end than a .22lr lol

Sounds like a made a great decision investing! The same shop has 25 packs of 50 rds that they've been holding on to for 2 or more years , so u should have some ammo available

I haven't owned one, but a buddy of mine had the double stack and single stack version and both were a ton of fun. Shot a melon with one at a group shoot and it was absolutely destroyed! The last I'd heard he didn't have any issues with them at all. Fun guns to shoot for sure... :yesway:

I forgot to update when I picked her up, but I picked her up last month.
    First observation:
It's nice. My first 19/2011 style pistol so I don't have a lot of experience, but I rather enjoy it. I'm definitely willing to learn, so if anyone has any tips, let me know!
This particular 2011 style pistol doesn't seem to like critical duty; they feed for my wife, but my grip reduces slide velocity enough that the rounds get caught on the ramp. Gold dot, and hst seem to work fine. I will probably be using novx rounds though. I like them.

I've found that I actually like grip panels. It give the heel of my support hand palm something to rotate into as it rolls up.

    Pistol points naturally. It's wonderful

    A couple cons:
The front sight is basic metal. I would like to replace it.

I need to have an ambidextrous safety installed as I am correct handed.

    Overall a solid buy!

Pics incoming once I get a chance.

Pics as promised. The grips themselves make me less than happy, but it is what it is lol.
