    The intent was to convince the victims their lives were in peril and then record the reaction. They were successful. A person who approaches you with a drawn knife is a lethal threat. The idiot in this video "was" a correctional officer. There is a better video of it out there somewhere. He ran up on the guy holding the phone with the knife drawn and claimed "it is my personal property, are you saying I can't hold my personal property in the United States?" He was very aggressive before he was armed, then went back to arm himself with the knife. Most armed people with any training would have shot him before he got anywhere close to them.
