Last week I had my LGS try to find a RIA tactical in 9mm, no luck on that none in stock anywhere.
I had him order a G.I. model in 9mm. The only difference I can find between the two are the beaver tail safety, ambi thumb safety, and the sights.
Anyone have the 9mm G.I. model ? How do you like it? It doesn't look like it will be to bad

It's the same platform - better sights (about $180 .oo to cut &install ) beaver tail G.S.& hammer will cost $100.00 . best idea is to wait and keep looking for what you want .It took me 10 mo. to find and get my RIA. C.S./ 9 mm tactical but the wait was worth it.

I have the G.I. model and love it. I will say at first it had some problems with FTE. After a good cleaning and about 250 rounds it really came into it..I will say that I had a hard time finding shops in my area that had 1911 9mm mags. I had to order them..Good shooter and I would not think twice about carring my RIA..It is just alittle heavy for me to CC everyday.:twocents:
