Nothing but good new here folks.
This class is actually the third in a series that Reveres Riders offers.
P100 being the entry level class that eases everyone into being comfortable with a handgun. Great for brand new gun owners and typically offered a couple times per year and always a ladies only event if not more. Next class is Sept 11th at Atlanta conservation club but consult the Reveres Riders site for more details.
Next in the series would be Pistol P145 which takes you to drawing from a holster and builds on P100 material. If you already know your way around your pistol and are ready for the next step then this ones for you. If you plan to carry you owe it to yourself to train accordingly and this class will ease you into what you need to know. Next one is Sept 25th at Lost Creek Conservation club, consult the Reveres Riders site for more details.
P209 builds upon those two and is offered Nov 13th at Lost Creek Conservation Club.
The good news is that no matter where you are in your handgun training all three of these classes are still available still this year.
If you still need any info after checking out the RR website please feel free to hit me up with any questions.

Just over two weeks away and a couple spots remain. Still time to round up some ammo and get signed up.
Come on out and take the next step literally.
Movement and shooting on the move covered and used extensively.
The final exercise combines everything learned to this point and is a lot of fun.

Oh, what the heck. A dose of Nigel to prepare for the annual date night Dec 4 isn't a bad idea. I signed up.

It will also be warmer and much easier to see the targets too.
Looking forward to it and glad you signed up Barry.

Great day for shooting on the move…
Cold hands, extra clothing, gloves, moving while shooting, mag changes, multiple target engagement, situational awareness …
Austere positions, prone, urban prone, contact distance, supine, kneeling….
Thanks to everyone for making this a great fun time and I look forward to shooting with everyone in 2022.

I had planned more commentary after the class, but spending most of the next week on the toilet took the wind out of my sails. Somehow Nigel is responsible.

The best thing about this class was getting to spend time doing the things that get the hit and run treatment in many other classes. Though not always entirely their fault because it’s what students demand, most instructors cover as many subjects as possible in a class. That allows a couple of practice runs on a topic then on to the next. This class was mostly centered on movement.
    So we moved.
    A lot.

When we started moving laterally, we all went left to right, then we all went back right to left. Then did it again. And again. Another time. Again. So instead of getting the basic idea and moving on, we got the basic idea, worked it out a little more, then got still better at it. And that’s how the day went. We could actually spend some time at each new thing or drill.

This is not to say it was a specialty class with limited subject matter either. It was sort of in-between. Several topics were covered throughout the day, but all were given enough practice time to work on them.

And this is one of the best things about ACT and “ACT-affiliated” classes. You spend only a day, but get some real work done.
