I see a lot of young slick sleeves. Cannot say I’m surprised. One of my motivating factors in leaving the army was that the new kids we were getting seemed less and less trained and capable.

I had heard they were going to issuing pre-loaded magazines to avoid the rounds being loaded backwards.

That looks like a light to me. And that is something that almost certainly would have been mounted by the armory and not the individual soldier/trainee/whatever.

It's an aimpoint comp M4.

I checked in with some folks regarding reasons for this happening and apparently some racks the army uses are from the m1 garand days. To place an M4 in them you must remove the optic, and to keep the optic with the rifle they typically attach it under the fore-end.

I'm sure that won't affect the zero
