    My son is 19 and has his LTCH, I gifted him his carry guns, but he has bought a few long guns on his own, He went to RK to buy a rifle, and the gun barn guy said he'd never seen a NICS check go through so fast.... I told him to keep his name clean like that! Toeknee if I dealt with you, as long as you have your LTCH, I'd have no problem....(although I am somewhat of a fudd.......lol

    They don't realize that this is simply a snapshot in time. Out of the 100's of 4473's I've called in to NICS, the only one to ever get an outright "DENY" was from someone who also had their pink permission slip. It's a good indicator that someone wasn't a "prohibited person" when the ISP ran the background check but it is not a guarantee they still are. YMMV.
    Just like the denial is not a guarantee that they are prohibited.
