I recently purchased some spare parts for a discontinued pistol. What do you all do for preparing parts for long term storage in case they are ever needed? Carburetor cleaner followed by Birchwood Casey Barricade? Or something else to give a light protective coating?
That's what I've been doing since the crazy covid days hit. Parts seemed plentiful so I stocked up on springs, firing pins, etc.

Your a good addition to the "family".
I am trying to get some spares for anything discontinued as a minimum. Just as insurance against the future.

    Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
Brownells has several products for storage and rust prevention. Rust Veto is supposed to be close to the old cosmoline and there’s rust blox-vapor-tabs
