Good thing lab animals don't have street smarts.

I'm guessing what they really meant was the hawks got them.

They'll be treated to the same level of accommodation as the other wildlife (raccoon, coyote, cat, squirrel, mice)...

    No discrimination in my household.

Nothing to see here, move along…

The following day, Fallon developed a cough and something that resembled “pink-eye.” And, by Sunday, she was visiting the Geisinger Medical Center emergency room, where infectious disease doctors were consulted. Fallon has since received her first (of 4) preventative rabies shots; as well as a prescription for a 14-day course of Valacyclovir.

The other story says they were used in vaccine tests

Well, since they had just been imported. Literally that day, doubtful they had been used in testing. Maybe destined to be.

Doubtful she would be showing symptoms in 24 hrs. I guess it's possible though.

Aye yo you guys wanna meet my new pet monkey? I bought it from the skeezy pet store on 38th street. Guy said the delivery driver “lost” one at a good price. At least that’s what I think he said, he was coughing a lot.
I do NOT want to "touch your monkey".
