They’re giving her another Covid test (pcr not rapid) should take 24-48 hours to get the results
They’re scheduling a bronchial endoscopy to take a sample of what’s in her lung
The doctor is very worried about her temperature it keeps jumping to 103 and he’s taking her off her 2 antibiotics and switching her to another

I hope you have family or friends you can "unload" on for a bit.
Everyone needs a shoulder to lean on from time to time.
    No shame.
It's what we have family/friends for.

If you don't have anyone, PM me. I'll listen.

Hang in there. All it takes is one doctor or nurse with honest curiosity and a desire to solve the mystery. My father nearly died from a bacterial pneumonia infection which they could not stop. Ultimately it turned out to be an abscess on his liver pressed against his right lower lung lobe which was leaking across the plural sack. Within 24 hours of draining the abscess he started to improve.

There is hope, and our medical system in the US is amazingly capable, when it is unleashed and the professional curiosity of the right doctor is applied.
