We had two rounds down southwest. First came through around 6:00ish cdt. straight line winds close to 80 mph but the worst of it went north or south of my immediate area. The Ohio River tends to push stuff up to and north of I-64 or down into Kentucky. Second round came in around 3:15 and split the difference. No damage but my power was out for about 3 hours.
One snowy, wind howling evening our powder went out. A call to the company, guess I was the first. We're getting more calls so your grid is out. Power should be back on by 10 pm. Our heat for the night were 2 oil lamps and lots of cover. 10 the next morning I went for a cup of coffee. A crew was working on the lines in a wooded section. A large forked limb had taken the power lines out and was hanging on the telephone line. Power was back on at 3 pm.
